Student Leaders with Melbourne Football Club

On Tuesday 26th February we, the Grade 6 student leaders, were given the opportunity to meet a host of players from the Melbourne Football Club. During this time we were able to chat to Steven May, Harley Bennell, Jayden Hunt and Mitch Hannan about the importance of leadership. We learnt that communication and listening are two integral parts to being the great leaders we aspire to be and that sometimes we need to step outside our comfort zone to achieve that.

At the end of our session, the players were kind enough to take us out for a kick and teach us the fundamentals of kicking and handballing a football.

It’s safe to say we all had a great time and can’t wait to try out some of the new skills that we’ve gained with the Berwick Chase community!
